Hari om Parents:
Namaste and greetings to all. We started our class with our invocation and santi mantra. After the prayers we started off on learning Ganesha Pancharatnam. This is an invocation of lord Ganesha. We covered the first two stanzas. Please follow the link to the Ganesha Pancharatnam and ensure that the kids are well versed with first two slokas. It is important that kids practice regularly and please help them inculcate the healthy habit
After the sloka teaching, we had a fun game of jeopardy to recap what kids learned in 4th grade - Sree krishna leelas of Bhagavatham. The kids participated enthusiastically. After the game, we were just about to start Mahabharatha, it was time for kids to learn certain Sanskrit syllables correctly, this went on for about 5 min and we restarted the beginning of Mahabharatha - Maha means huge, great etc.. Bharatha - Bharatha was the dynasty that ruled large parts of the bharatha varsha. Hence Maha Bharatha is the epic that captures the great Bharatha dynasty. While the origins of Bharatha dynasty span multiple kings/ emperors. For our purposes, the epic starts with King Santanu
There is no Balavihar class on Sept 30, on account of Durga Navratri. Please teach your kids the significance of durga navratri and involve them in your celebrations
