Hari Om!
Dear Parents,
Today's class schedule was slightly short to allow for the children to perform the Saraswati Pooja:
- Opening Prayers: Chanting Om three times, followed by Slokās (Vakratunda Mahākāya, Saraswati Namastubhyam and Buddhir Balam).
- Mahābhārata: We had a quick recap of the Mahabharata (Adi Parva), the Kuru dynasty & Mahabharata Family tree and we started to dive deeper into the Virata Parva, how the Pandavas were living in disguise in the Virata Kingdom, and how they were forced to participate in the war to protect the Virata kingdom. We will further deep dive into this parva next class
- Saraswati Pooja: The children assembled in the hall to perform the Saraswati Pooja. We hope they continue to pray to the Saraswati Devi (picture provided to them as part of the Pooja today) and gain Goddess Saraswati's blessing for an outstanding academic year ahead.
Here is a link to the Geeta Chanting that the children can leverage for additional practice at home. Also here is the link to the today's class material that can be access to practice the slokas
REMINDER: We request at least one parent to stay on premises during Bala Vihar, and preferably attend an Adult study group class. This motivates the children to attend and gives rise to discussion.
See you all next Sunday, October 16.
Pranāms
Rajesh Jayakumar and Nivedita Sridhar
