Hari Om Parents,
Today was the seventh class of Balavihar!! Here is the summary of what we covered in the class today:
Opening Prayers: We together chanted three OMs and then chanted the Opening Prayers - Sahana Vavatu.
Sloka time : Some kids chanted Ganesh Sloka-Ekadantam Mahakayam individually.
Today's session was led by the JCHKs Anshu, Sara and Maiteryi. They started by asking kids to introduce themselves and then asked them to do the Alphabet chant and introduced the Letter of the Day.
Introduction of the Letter of the day : Letter 'E' is for Enthusiasm - Enthusiasm -is to experience joy and excitement while striving for a goal.
Brainstorming Discussed by various examples of situations when they feel excited and joyful. Kids happily shared and
participated by providing answers and actively discussed and learnt the meaning of Enthusiasm.
Kids learnt the alphabet chant 'Go Go, Go and Fly'
Go, go, go, and fly,
Soar, soar in the sky,
Work, work hard and try,
You'll make it, just don't cry
Activity : We went over the 'Interview with Dad Questionnaire' and got interesting responses. Kids were excited and happily shared the details of what they did with their Dad.
Games : JCHKs engaged the kids in various games like BeyBlade, Car Race, Simon Says - to illustrate Enthusiasm. After giving the kids the Coloring sheet for E, the JCHKs left for their class.Kids participated very well, and we all had a joyful time.
Attendance : Each kid responded by saying Hari Om when their name was called.
Bhagavad Geeta Chanting : Then we chanted BG verse 1 and we practised Couple of times and one of the kids led the chanting.
Bhajan : We Introduced Krishna Bhajan and explained it word by word.

Story time : Through the story of 'the Starfish and the Boy', we learnt that small actions can make a difference, and we need to work hard
and enthusiasm is key to everything. And every small step counts even if the task is huge and can make a difference.
Lastly we said the Closing prayers and concluded the session and went to the assembly hall for Aarti and Pledge.
Note: Next class is on Dec 04th, 2022. Please make kids practice BG and Bhajans(Ganesha and Krishna). And get them to do some Likitha Japa - all this will help in obtaining points for the House.
It was another very joyful session with kids, kids participated very well and thoroughly enjoyed themselves with the JCHKs who were equally excited and happy to meet and spend time with our kids.
