Our class on Sunday started with 3 OM chantings and

We started to learn the third stanza of Govinda Damodara Stotram and revised the first 2.
Kids have printouts of the above. Please have them practice at home.
Krishna Krishna Everywhere
We recapped the story up until the exchange of babies by Vasudeva watching a short video.
We then proceeded with the stories of how Kamsa sends the demons to kill baby Krishna after being informed by his spies about his birth in Mother Yashoda and Nandbaba's house at Gokula.
pUtana the fierce demon disguised as a beautiful lady tries to kill the Lord by feeding him poisoned milk and in turn dies at the hands of the lord.
TrinAvarta, another cunning and evil demon who can raise a fierce dust storm, faces the same fate. But the kind hearted Lord gives them liberation by forgiving them.
We talked about Forgiveness, a value which we all need to practice and is appreciated by the Lord.
My 24 teachers
Our 4th teacher from this book is Water. Water is sweet, cool, refreshing and purifies or cleans whatever it comes in contact with. So also we should learn from water that by our sweet and kind words people around us should feel good and happy.
We also narrated 2 short stories about the importance of speaking good and kind words as Speech is a gift endowed to only humans by the Lord.
Bhagavad Gita :
We learnt the 3rd and 4th verses of Chapter 3 with Swamiji's guidance video.
Please have them practice all the 4 shlokas at home as we will soon be recording them and earning team points.
