Jan 29, 2023 - Grade 3 (Sunday PM)

Hari OM Parents,

Please find the summary of today's class.

We started the class by chanting OM 3 times followed by morning prayers - "Sahanaavathu".

In today's class we did a quick recap of lessons 1 to 20 from Bala Bhagavatam, which we have covered so far. We spent time reflecting on the following topics from these lessons.

1.     As you sow, so shall you reap (pigeon and the ant story)

2.     Have a firm resolve, avoid distractions (Dhruva)

3.     Do not be proud or arrogant (Daksha story)

4.     Have a complete picture (Elephant story)

5.     See work as worship (Sage Narada, Farmer, and pot)

6.     Three types of Devotion (Sattvic, Rajasic and Tamasic)

7.     Hard work leads to prosperity (King Prithu's story)

After the recap, we played a game of Kahoot. Kids loved answering the quiz.

Presentation activity:

We formed the class into two teams. Each team took one of the above topics, discussed themselves and gave a presentation to the entire class. In the presentation they covered,

1.     Moral/Message of the story

2.     Summary of the story learnt

3.     How they would apply it in their daily life (or) how they applied it in their daily life.

Kids amazed us with their understanding of the stories and their presentation skills.

Geeta chanting:

We practiced verses 17 and 18 of Geeta chapter 3.

Kids attended the grade 9 stage performance at the temple hall followed by pledge.

Thanks and warm regards,

Aruna and Subbu
