There is no balavihar class next sunday. Our next class is on February 26th.
- Kids wrote Likhita japa for the first five minutes.
- We started off the class with the opening prayer (Dhyana shloka - Om Saha Navavatu)
- Mahabharata
- Continuation of Vana parva
- Arjuna gets Pashupatastra
- Arjuna does penance towards Lord Shiva.
- A demon called Muka disguised in the form of a boar attacked Arjuna.
- Arjuna shot an arrow at the boar. At the same time, another arrow hit the boar. Boar gets killed.
- A hunter came and claimed that he shot the boar.
- Fight ensued between Arjuna and the hunter. But the hunter was powerful.
- Arjuna made a Shivalinga and decorated it with a garland and prayed to Lord Shiva.
- Surprisingly, the garland appeared in the hunter's neck.
- Arjuna understood that the hunter was none other than Lord Shiva and requested him to reveal his true form.
- Lord Shiva blessed Arjuna and gave him Pashupatastra.
- Arjuna gets invited to Indraloka by Indra devata.
- Arjuna goes to Indraloka and he befriends Chitrasena there.
- Arjuna learns music and dance.
- Due to an incident, Arjuna gets cursed by the apsara, Urvashi.
- Bhima meets Hanuman
- Bhima went in search of Saugandhika (fragrant lotus) flower as requested by Draupadi
- A huge monkey was sitting in Bhima's way.
- Bhima tried to lift the monkey's tail but could not.
- After many failed attempts to move the monkey out of the way, Bhima realized that it was not an ordinary monkey.
- Bhima became humble and surrendered to the monkey.
- The monkey revealed himself and it was none other than Lord Hanuman.
- Lord Hanuman was the son of Vayu devata and the birth of Bhima was blessed by Vayu devata, making Hanuman and Bhima brothers.
- Hanuman blessed Bhima and said that he will be in Arjuna's chariot flagstaff, protecting the Pandavas during the war.
- Kauravas gets routed by Gandharvas
- Kauravas wanted to know how the Pandavas were suffering in the forest.
- Kauravas set up a camp near the place where Pandavas were living.
- The place where Kauravas camped was already taken by the Gandharvas.
- Fight ensued between Kauravas and Gandharvas.
- Kauravas get defeated and Duryodhana gets tied up.
- One of the Duryodhana's army soldiers asks help from Yuddhishthira.
- Yuddhishthira tells Bhima and Arjuna to help Duryodhana.
- When Arjuna sees Chitrasena, the captured Duryodhana was given to the Pandavas.
- Yuddhishthira releases Duryodhana.
- Duryodhana gets humiliated by this incident.
- Story of a Saint - Shri Ramana Maharshi
- Shri Ramana Maharishi was born in Tamil Nadu on December 30, 1879.
- At the age of 16, he left home and started meditating in a cellar of Thiruvannamalai temple.
- Silence is the message of Shri Ramana Maharshi. He taught through silence.
- Upadesa Sara is one of his famous writings.

- Once, Swami Chinmayananda met Shri Ramana Maharshi.
- Shri Ramana Maharshi died on April 24, 1950.
- Values to be learned from him - be contemplative.
- Kids practiced the Bhagavad Gita chanting using the video - Verses 19 and 20 of Chapter 3
- Shloka chanting - we reviewed and practiced all the verses of Ganesha Pancharatnam
- Kids did a great job in the class by following the chanting. Please ask them to practice
- Aarati and pledge in the Temple Hall.
