Today was the fourteenth class of Balavihar!! Here is the summary of what we covered in the class today:
Opening Prayers: We together chanted three OMs and then chanted the Opening Prayers - Sahana Vavatu.

Opening Prayers: We together chanted three OMs and then chanted the Opening Prayers - Sahana Vavatu.
Recap: We recited the Alphabet chant until Letter M.
Introduction of the Next Letter: We introduced the next letter "N"' - is for Nobility-upholding high moral standards and strong character. And that we can be noble by taking care of others and putting others needs first.
Brainstorming: We discussed about noble deeds and how we can do simple deeds for others by putting others' needs first and helping others. And we can develop noble qualities by learning from great people.
Bhajan session with Swamini ji : Swamini ji came to our class today for sometime and taught kids couple of bhajans, and made all of us chant along while she sang and played the guitar

Yoga time: We did Tree pose,Stretching pose,snake pose,Jumping Jacks.
After this, we went to the prayer hall to see the monthly play of 6th graders and 9th graders. Kids had an opportunity to learn about India's freedom struggle and learn about the brave freedom fighters from 6th graders. And through the 9th grade play, we learnt about how we as humans can break the cycles of life and death through good Karma and attain God.
It was another lively session with kids.Kids had a wonderful time with Swamini ji. Today's class was short due to the Bhajan session and Monthly Play.
Lithika japa books were reviewed by the Co-ordinators, points awarded and returned back to the kids. Please continue making kids write in Likitha japa book.
Next Balavihar class is on Sunday Feb 26th, no class next week due to the Long Weekend! Happy Shivaratri to all !!
