Hari Om! Parents,
Reminder: Bala Vihar Houses Shlokathon and Bhajanotsav contest registrations are now open. Please register soon and encourage your child to participate!
Week 15 Class
Children did this Likhita Japa at the start of the class - " Durga Mata ki Jai ''/ "Jai Durga Maa". They did the likhita japa in the shape of flowers. Please remind your child to do likhita japa regularly.
Shlokas
Om chanting 3 times, Sahana vavatu, Vakratunda mahakaya, Saraswati namastubhyam, Sarva mangala mangalye (ref. My Prayers book pg 39). We chanted the 1-6 verses of Mahishasura Mardini Stotram (ref. My Prayers book pg. 47). Going forward, one child will be designated to lead the class in shloka chanting. Hopefully this will be an incentive for your child to learn the shlokas.
Spirit Day Activity: The children built a tower from paper by hand and did a chopstick relay challenge. Their scores were added to the overall House points. The children worked very nicely together as a team to complete the tasks! We assembled in the Prayer Hall for Bala Vihar Houses activity. It was the half pipe challenge and the children again showed excellent teamwork! Durga's Daredevils placed second in our Bala Vihar session! The session ended with pledge recitation. Photos of this event have been posted on the Grade 6 Parents WhatApp group.
