Hari Om Parents,
Today was the fifteenth class of Balavihar!!. All of the kids, parents and teachers wore Blue dress, representing Krishna's Cowboys house for the House Spirit Day!
Opening Prayers: We together chanted three OMs and then chanted the Opening Prayers - Sahana Vavatu.
Today was the fifteenth class of Balavihar!!. All of the kids, parents and teachers wore Blue dress, representing Krishna's Cowboys house for the House Spirit Day!
Here is the summary of what we covered in the class today:
Opening Prayers: We together chanted three OMs and then chanted the Opening Prayers - Sahana Vavatu.
Attendance: Attendance was taken, and kids responded by saying Hari Om.
Spirit Day: Kids were briefed about the BV Houses Spirit Day contests.We provided kids about the challenge details and rules. Each challenge is for 15 minutes and all the kids (total 12 attended today) got a chance to participate. One Scorer was assigned to monitor and score the challenges..
Cup Tower Stacking Challenge: Kids were provided cups and sticks to help stack cups like a Tower. Kids were divided into 2 groups and each group managed to stack up to 9 and 7 rows each and helped score House points. Kids worked enthusiastically and accomplished this challenge.
Crabwalk Challenge: Kids were asked to walk like a Crab and balance objects on their tummy, and move from point A to point B. Initially, while some kids found it a little tough,few kids did it very well the first time itself. And soon, everyone got the hang of it and each kid managed to do multiple rounds successfully and score house points.
One parent volunteer - Scorer came to the class, and watched the kids perform the challenges within the time allotted and provided scores for both the challenges.
Recap of Letter N & Story: Then we all sat down calmly and recapped that Letter N is for Nobility, and through the Story of the Cow and the Lion: we learnt that we need to be noble at all times, and when we put the need of others first,our wishes also get taken care of.
Exit Ticket: Kids were provided with Letters M & N Coloring sheet and asked to color the sheet.
After this, we went to the prayer hall to see the house activities of the older kids and ended the session with Pledge.
Today we had 2 parent volunteers who stayed in the class throughout to help. And few other parents also came to help for the same. Special Thank you to all parents for helping in the classroom and being there to support and encourage kids.
Kids had a fun filled day.Kids actively participated in all of the challenges.They learnt to work together as a team, cheer their friends, do their best when it was their turn in both the challenges. The pictures and videos taken in class as part of the Spirit Day Activities have been shared in the whatsapp group.
