Update on Sunday Oct 30th Balavihar class
We had a short class this week, followed by House Inauguration.
Congratulations to all our Bajarangi Bolts for winning our first challenge!!!
1. Class started with 3 OMs followed by 4 opening Prayers:
• Sahanavavatu (to Pray to Lord to keep both Guru and Disciple on the path of study)
• Vakratunda mahaakaavya(for Lord Ganesha)
• Saraswathi namastubhyam (for Devi)
• Guru Brahma (for Guru)
2. Most of the kids have memorized Dhyana Shloka of Sri Hanuman ji too!! We went over buddhi, balam, Yashas and dhairyam. Discussed the story of Rosa Parks and how she is remembered for her tremendous act of bravery. And spoke briefly about nirbhayatvam/fearlessness.
3. We learnt our House Bhajan (of Bajrangi Bolts) - Veera Hanumana ati balavana …
4. We went to the main hall for 'House Inauguration', with our house flag and cheering for our House. All the houses presented their respective house Bhajans. 2nd graders, 7th graders and a few 9th graders as a team won the competition of solving the puzzles!!! Bajrangi Bolts solved the puzzles first!! Yaay!! Congratulations !! They earn points for every participation and will add towards Bajrangi bolts. Lets win the Trophy with our maximum participation.
5. Let us all work on memorizing Bhagavath Geetha shlokas (1 - 4 )
