We started to learn the second stanza of Govinda Damodara Stotram.
Most of them have printouts of the above. Please have them practice at home.
Krishna Krishna Everywhere
We recapped the story so far asking kids what they remember from previous sessions followed by the story of what happened after Sri Krishna was born.
We talked about how Vasudeva walked in the fiercest thunderstorm through the Yamuna river which paved the way for him and with SeshanAga protecting and guarding the Lord serving as an umbrella. After the babies were exchanged in Gokula while Yashoda was sleeping, Vasudeva brought the baby girl back to jail. Kamsa came to kill her but she slipped away and assumed the form of a Goddess and told him that his enemy was already born, and he could not avert the will of God.
My 24 teachers
Our 3rd teacher from this book is Space. Just as how Space is everywhere without boundaries, in and through everything, so is BhagavAn, all pervading.
Similar to the thread in the garland that supports the flowers, so also BhagavAn supports all the beings of the world.
Activity
Our activity based on the above lesson was making the kids figure out different words that they can make out of "WORLD".They came up with Word, Low, Row, Lord etc., of which the most important was Lord as he is Omnipresent in the the World.
Our second activity was to fix the sentence, "God is nowhere" which is wrong, by not adding anything extra but just rearranging a letter. Kids did figure out the correct sentence, "God is now here"
Our class then proceeded with fun and exciting House Inaugural activities in the prayer Hall.
