· After taking the correct seating posture, we chanted OM 3 times
· Opening Prayer ( Om Sahanavavatu pg. 8 My prayers green book ) We said the meaning of the prayer after chanting: May God Protect us , May He nourish us. May we energetically work together. May our studies be brilliant. May we never have hatred for each other. May there be peace.
Students practiced remembering the first line.
· Prayer of Bhagvan Ganesh : Vakratunda Mahakaya ( Pg 27 My Prayers)
· Attendance: Students caught a snowman, stood up at their turn, said their name and greeted Hari Om
· Daily Prayers (karagre Vasate): (Pg 11 My Prayers ). We continue to practice looking at the palm following way: Laxmiji at the tip, at the base Saraswati Goddess and in the middle of the palm Govinda.

· Bhagavat Geeta Chanting: Students practiced chanting the first six verses of Bhagvat Gita Chapter 3. For more practice: https://bit.ly/BGChapter3playlist
· Review of previous lessons: We reviewed previous lessons A for Aspiration ( Emphasis on goal for life not too high, not too low , single pointed attention). B for Brotherhood ( To achieve brotherhoodness: Treat world as a family, praying together, knowing each of us is unique and important, sharing, caring). C for cleanliness: Cleanliness of all three is important, surrounding, body and mind. Sweet mind is loved by God. Sweet mind has good thoughts, thoughts of kindness, We remember 3 monkeys of Mahatma Gandhi to keep mind clean.
· Topic of the day : Brainstorming: Who is daddy? What does daddy do? What does daddy mean to the family?
· D for Dad, Dads are heads of the families. Dads have qualities of God: love ,kindness, caring, wise, protective, and strong. Hence dads are like God. Pitrudevo bhav.
· Story: Father's day: First Father's day was celebrated in Washington on June 19th ,the birthday of the father of a girl named Sonara Dodd in Washington. Her father took care of 6 children and gave motherly love to the children after the death of their mother. Sonara took the initiative of having Father's day. After 60 years, the President of the US, Mr. Lyndon Johnson took the initiative to have Father's day all over the US on 3rd Sunday of June.
· Yoga Poses: Tree, Windmill, candle, mouse, butterfly, lion, pretzel with deep breathing.
· Bhajan: Ganesh Sharanam ( Pg 31My Prayers).
· Activity: 1. Coloring page: students colored the pages that they missed from previous classes and D for dad. We briefly discussed why elephants' picture. We will continue talking about it next time. 2. Writing Om in the Likhit Japa book.
· Dismissal to prayer hall
Pl note students have received blue books. Please bring them to every class as we are planning to write likhit japa in the book.
Next week students will read their dad's interview. Interview questionnaires are in the students' folders.
