Most of the students had memorized and chanted with teachers these two prayers. Kudos to all ! We introduced a new prayer that is to be said before and during  bath ( Snanat prak) Pg11 Prayer #2 in the  My prayer Green book. Pl help students to memorize.

To register for Shloka classes: Bit.ly/Shlokas22

·         Review of previous lessons: We reviewed previous lessons A for Aspiration ( Emphasis on goal for life not too high, not too low , single pointed attention).  B for Brotherhood ( To achieve brotherhoodness: Treat world as a family, praying together, knowing each of us is unique and important, sharing, caring). C for cleanliness: Cleanliness of all three is important, surrounding, body and mind. Sweet mind is loved by God. Sweet mind has good thoughts, thoughts of kindness, We remember 3 monkeys of Mahatma Gandhi to keep mind clean, D for Dad : Dads are Gods ( Pitrudevo bhav! )because they have the same qualities , kindness, caring, loving wisdom, protective, strong as God.

·         Dad's interview questionnaire: It was fun reading answers of students on the questionnaire. Some pretended reading, some recalled and told answers. Thanks to all dad for spending time and preparing our students!

·         Topic of the day : E for enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is experiencing joy and excitement while striving for goal. We enthusiastically dress up and get ready, when we have to go out for a movie or a birthday party. We are fully wound up at that time. We cultivate enthusiasm by loving what we do.

·         Story: Story #1 A story of a chipmunk named Gitu who helps villagers to build a dam to stop flood  by enthusiastically making balls of sand and is rewarded by God with patting on his back for being enthusiastic and  helpful. Gitu got 3 stipes on the back with the touch of divine hands. Now named as squirrel.

·         Story #2 Story of a boy who enthusiastically throws one fish at a time from the piles of fishes on the bank of the ocean, back in the ocean  and tries to save their lives. When mocked by others for futility of efforts , and impossibility to save all, due to volume of work needed , gives a bold answer that even though he cannot save all lives at least could save some and make a difference!

·         Yoga Poses: butterfly, pretzel with deep breathing

·         Bhagavat Geeta Chanting: Students practiced chanting 9th and 10th verses of Bhagvat Gita Chapter 3 with modeling by Swami Shantanandji on the classroom TV.  For more practice: https://bit.ly/BGChapter3playlist

·         Activities: 1. Watching wound up toy. We learned that if a toy is not wound up fully ,it cannot move and reach destination. So, we  we are half wound up, being lazy, unmotivated  and keep saying I can't do it, I will do it later or tomorrow, we cannot meet our goal. We need to be enthusiastic to achieve  our aspiration.

2.      Weed out: Sorting mixed grain. Students were well focused during this activity. If you are enthusiastic, you can do any tedious work.

3.       Assuming 3 cheerleading positions ( High V, Table top, Candle sticks)

4.      Singing cheerleading song " Go,  go in the sky) Verses texted in the what's app group K balavihar 22-23) Please memorize these.

5 Coloring page E for enthusiasm

·         Dismissal to prayer hall

Pl note students have received blue books. Please bring them to every class as we are planning to write likhit Japa in the book. We write japa whenever time permits.

Next week , students will share one activity they did enthusiastically during the week.
