April 2, 2023 -  Class Updates
  1. Kids wrote Likhita japa for the first five minutes.
  2. We started off the class with the opening prayer (Dhyana shloka - Om Saha Navavatu)
  3. Mahabharata
    1. Virata Parva continues
      1. Ballabha killed Keechaka
        1. Virata is the king of Matsya kingdom.
        2. Sudeshna is the queen of Matsya kingdom.
        3. Keechaka is the brother of Sudeshna.
        4. Keechaka was commander-in-chief of the army of the Matsya kingdom.
        5. Sairandhri (Draupadi's role during the year of incognito) was the hairdresser for the queen Sudeshna.
        6. Keechaka wanted to marry Sairandhri. Sairandhri refuses it and says that anyone who forces her will be avenged by five Gandharvas protecting her.
        7. Keechaka insists.
        8. One night, Ballabha (Bhima's role during the year of incognito) kills Keechaka.
  4. Kids practiced the Bhagavad Gita chanting using the video - Verses 31 and 32 of Chapter 3

  5. Saints of India 
    1. Since we finished all 16 Saints of India, we started to make mini-booklet about them
      1. Kids received a blank mini-booklet and pictures of the saints.
      2. We started filling the booklet with the information
      3. We will complete in the upcoming classes.
  6. Aarti and Pledge in the Temple Hall.
Our next class is on April 16th. There is no balavihar class on April 9th.
