April 23, 2023 -  Class Updates
  1. Kids wrote Likhita japa for the first five minutes.
  2. We started off the class with the opening prayer (Dhyana shloka - Om Saha Navavatu)
  3. Mahabharata
    1. Virata Parva continues
      1. Pandavas after identifying themselves in Matsya Kingdom lives in Upaplavya
      2. Since Arjuna helped to defeat the Kaurava army, King Virata requests him to marry his daughter Uttara Kumari
      3. Arjuna refuses saying that Uttara Kumari is his disciple and Abhimanyu (his son with Subhadra) will marry Uttara Kumari
      4. Upapandavas and Abhimanyu were being brought up by Drupada and Krsna while the Pandavas and Draupadi were in the forest during the exile
      5. Krsna, Balarama, Subhadra, Abhimanyu and other Vrishnis all arrive from Dwaraka Kingdom to Upaplavya
      6. Upapandavas, Drupada, Dhrshatadyumna, Shikandi arrive from Panchala to Upaplavya
      7. Uttara Kumari married Abhimanyu
      8. With this Virata parva ends.
  4. We practiced Mangala aarati (page 25 of handbook - https://www.chinmayavrindavan.org/images/Documents/2022CNJBVHandbook.pdf ), Om Jai Jagadish Hare (page 26), Chinmaya aarati (page 27), Shanti Mantras (page 28). 
  5. Shloka chanting 
    1. We reviewed the verses 1 - 6 of Ganesha Pancharatnam. 
    2. We reviewed the three verses of Ajam Nirvikalpam
  6. Saints of India 
    1. We continued to make mini-booklet about the Saints of India
      1. We started filling the booklet with the information
      2. We will complete in the upcoming classes.
  7. We will finalize the topic / idea for the annual day performance next class and will start practicing during the Balavihar sessions.
  8. We enjoyed the Earth day presentation and seventh graders' performance in the Temple Hall.
  9. Pledge in the Temple hall.
