Apr 23, 2023 - Kindergarten (Sunday AM)

  Hari Om Parents,

Today was the  twenty-second class of Balavihar!!  Some of the kids shared that they participated in Geeta Chanting competition on Saturday held at the Ashram.

Here is the summary of what we covered in the class today:

Opening Prayers:  We together chanted three OMs and then chanted the Opening Prayers - Sahana Vavatu. All the kids chanted together.

Exploration:  We recapped what we learnt for P and Q and discussed about the letter "Q". And we discussed that SILENT and LISTEN contain the same set of letters and play an important part in our life.

We need to be silent at times and listen to good words, good advice and implement good things in our life.

We completed the KG Vedantic Alphabet Safari syllabus with today's class.

Bhajan practice: Our Bhajan Coordinator joined the class at 9:30am and kids participating in the Bhajanotsav practiced singing the bhajans - Ganapathi bhajan and Krishna bhajan.Kids were singing together well and we had a good practice session.Missed some kids who could not come to class today.

Yoga: Jumping Jacks

Attendance: Was taken with each kid saying Hari Om when their name was called.

Annual Day Play: We discussed with kids some of their roles and the Annual Day Play.

It was a short session, by 10:15 we joined everyone in the main hall and saw a presentation about Earth Day and the Class Plays of 5th  & 8th graders.

It was another very collaborative session with kids. Kids actively participated.
