Topic of the day : V for Victory

Brainstorming:

Activity #1 Students in the group of 2 were prompted to reach a target (touching wall ) in various ways such as running, hopping, and skipping. We measured the time taken to reach the target. And realized some groups took more time than others. Yet all were winners. How?

Inference: We learned that in spiritual journeys following  Vedantic principles, if one reaches the goal is a winner irrespective of the time he or she takes. Some difficulties will come in your way but keep focusing on the goal and keep moving.  What is more important  is to reach your goal !!!

Story 1: Marathon race A story of nine handicapped children running a marathon race. One of the  handicapped children falls during the marathon race. A girl comes back to help him. All the children returned to the boy who was crying in pain and helped him to get up. All ran together,  all of them won the race and received applause!!

Exploration:  What is really required for winning? We looked at the emblem of India with 4 lions that says Satyameva Jayate ( Truth only wins).

Story #2 : Since it was Bhagvan Ramchandraji's birthday, we heard the story of Shri Ramchandraji going to the forest to help his father  King Dasharatha to keep his promise given to one of his queens, Kekeyee. In Ramji's dynasty people spoke truth and kept their promises ( Praan jaye par vachan na Jai meaning they would give up life to keep their promises).

Gita chanting first 1-7 verses.
