April 30, 2023 - Class Updates
- Kids wrote Likhita japa for the first five minutes.
- We started off the class with the opening prayer (Dhyana shloka - Om Saha Navavatu)
- We practiced Mangala aarati (page 25 of handbook - https://www.chinmayavrindavan.org/images/Documents/2022CNJBVHandbook.pdf ), Om Jai Jagadish Hare (page 26), Chinmaya aarati (page 27), Shanti Mantras (page 28) and the pledge (page 29).
- Mahabharata
- We completed all the 4 parvas. We will be reviewing them during the remaining classes.
- Shloka chanting
- We reviewed the verses 1 - 6 of Ganesha Pancharatnam.
- We reviewed the three verses of Ajam Nirvikalpam
- Saints of India
- We continued to make a mini-booklet about the Saints of India
- We started filling the booklet with the information
- We will complete in the upcoming classes.
- We finalized the topic for the annual day performance - Jeopardy and Chanting of Ganesha Pancharatnam. We will do the practice starting next class. Please have them attend all the remaining classes so that they are comfortable with the performance on June 10th.
- Annual (mela) day is June 10th. Rain date is June 11th.
- Fifth graders lead the aarati and pledge in the temple.
