Hari Om! Everyone,

Our class on Sunday was much shorter than usual due to the special "House Inaugural Day" program at 1:30pm.
After our Invocations and Meditation time with chanting of Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya, we sang a beautiful bhajan on Lord Shiva, "Shivaya Parameshwaraya."
After this, we discussed an interesting quote: "What the caterpillar calls "the end of the world, God calls a butterfly!" and how it relates to Arjuna at the beginning of the Gita and with our own experience. Upsets and disappointments come to us all in life from time to time, but when we know how to look at them, they always turn out to be opportunities for inner growth and expansion.
Upsets can be setups for a better comeback!
This week everyone can think of an experience in their life which may have felt like a defeat, an upset or disappointment at the time. Did you learn anything from the experience that helped you grow and change? Did it turn out later to be a good or helpful experience in some way?
After this we all joined the House Inaugural program for the fun activity!
Next Sunday we will finish reading and discussing our PowerPoint Slide-Show review of Gita chapters 1-6, and then have a GAME!
Everyone have a great week!
Hari Om!
